there are sooo many changes that i have been going through in my new environment. as in!  and i thought i wouldn't be experiencing much of the culture shock people have been talkin' about. i went through mind-boggling changes physically (the foods! ), emotionally (homesick my dear ), and mentally (as always... ) i'll just put them here one-by-one i guess..? school:Pinas-small bag and i only have girly thingies and a few pens on it. Aust-humungous, gigantic and extremely large bag!! (can you imagine that?) i'd always say its meant for hiking stuffs. haha!Pinas:-i never bring books cause we have lockers. and if i do bring 'em, they'll be like just two of em.Aust:-6 books + 1 gigantic binder + clear book = will i still grow an inch?Pinas:-even though we backstab our teachers and sort of, kinda, a little bit of disrespected them...... we still show respect because they deserve it. -damn it! i pity our teachers here.. they'll be harassed by the students every single day! sheesh!Pinas:-canteens are always open and we're free to buy whenever we want (except on holidays and no school events)... and we can even have our credit card.. $_$Aust:-canteens are just open for recess and lunch. no extensions. boo!! Pinas:-recess would be burgers, crackers, small meals, sodas and whatever we eat. and lunch would be a main meal composed of rice and viand... some of us would only eat with crackers on lunch though, =PAust:-Gawd! i can't imagine myself eating only carrot and celery sticks for recess!! i'm gonna be eff'n hungry for the next hour!! the people here would normally eat dried fruits and a raw fruit for their recess.. (talk about hunger attack..) and as for their lunch, sandwich would be it.. (i♥rice!)Pinas:-if you're bullied, you'll only be experiencing it on a mild way. like being irratatively stared at, having rumors about you or something like that.Aust:-if you're bullied, you'll experience black eyes, being thrown at the grass, or being called with names such as slut. and i just experienced the last thing (my bad i didn't remember Anne Curtis' golden line..tsktsk.) most offenders would be the aboriginal people.. hmmp.Pinas:-we just stay in one room for the whole day with your classmates.Aust:-we are like college students, transferring from one room to another and i don't have constant classmates.
Pinas:
-only the oh-so-rich schools would have air-conditioning on every single classroom.
Aust:
-normal schools have both heaters and aircon.
Pinas:
-toilets are always available whenever you want!!
Aust:
-you have to ask for a key. Gawd!
Pinas:
-when having a test, you should have YOUR OWN paper.. and NO BEGGING! haha!
Aust:
-super extra mega large sizes are available at your every wish! and free clear exams too!
the people:Pinas:-most government people would be grumpy.. boo!Aust:-they'll be talking to you with their whole set of teeth being flashed! haha! lmao.Pinas:-i think most are snobsAust:-even if they don't know you, they'd be talking to you or start a conversationPinas:-people would work when they finish HS or collegeAust:-all people are working. almost all of my classmates have work!! and i wish i would work too.. Pinas:-we would be sort of excited about meeting people of different racesAust:-its no big deal. they're super used to the fact that people from all races (asians, europeans, africans and etc,) come and go.
Pinas:
-only rich people have cars
Aust:
-poor and rich = cars and cars!!
Pinas:
-bands are so in today
Aust:
-anything could be in. haha!
Pinas:
-people care about how you dress, how's your hair and your whole grooming.
Aust:
-they won't even care if you walk barefoot.
Pinas:
-you would be considered rich if you went overseas for a holiday!! (stardom!haha )
Aust:
-you went to Phuket for the Easter week? no big deal.
Pinas:
-its a huge deal if you'd move from one region to another. REALLY.
Aust:
-they're always moving places! and i'm talking about different regions.
Pinas:
-you should be like 15 or something to work on fast-food chains.
Aust:
-it doesn't matter if you're only 12 as long as you can manage.
the place:Pinas:-tropical climate all year-round!Aust:-i'm freezing my ass off.Pinas:-we have black or brown soilAust:-we have orange... Gawd! But i'm pretty much used to it. hahaPinas:-houses are put up wherever they want. bridges, along the bridge, before the bridge, and after the bridge..haha!)Aust:-there's always a some sort of subdivision (if that's what i can name it..haha)Pinas:-you're working your ass off and still unsatisfied with your salary!!!Aust:-if you're super mega hardworking -- you'll be rich. *ching ka ching* Pinas:-you can go to the beach for like a 2 hour drive.Aust:-want a real beach with white sand? a 6 hour drive away!!! (i'll be soo eff'n tired then.. zzzz)
Pinas:
-only well-established business buildings would have toilet paper on their toilets.
Aust:
-ALL, including schools and public toilets have those life-saving papers!! haha!
the food:
Pinas:
-junk foods would normally cost from P1 to P5.. and in a tinnie-winnie size.. -_-
Aust:
-there are just no SMALL size. a bag of chips is probably the size of my sleeping pillow! no wonder people here are kinda super-size..haha!
Pinas:
-we only usually have, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onion, oyster sauce and the other common seasoning for our meals. but its sure better tasting than the foods here!!
Aust:
-herbs and other weed-like thingies are used as spices.. they give out really nice aroma, but the taste is just soo plain.. boo! (my taste buds love fancy foods..)
Pinas:
-we call candies as candies.
Aust:
-candies = LOLLIES. haha! (i thought they're only shortcut for lollipops..haha!)
Pinas:
-we can choose from food size proportions such as Small, Medium, Large or whatsoever and still complain the food's SMALL.haha!
Aust:
-still have sizes to choose from but they all seem big to me.. haha! 
Pinas:
-admit it, we think Cadbury's a super brand of chocolate!! haha i mean, i'd only be buying a bar of it on rare occasions cause they cost like a P100...
Aust:
-chocolates with HEAVY names are just like raining and are always on sale! (how tempting!!) like on the post-Easter sales, easter eggs cost like only 20 CENTS! Good heavens! haha.
Pinas:
-i find really good and fresh fruits quite expensive. and they expect people to eat healthy. hello? 3rd world country.
Aust:
-all are cheap!
